Tunisia: Lawyer Wafa Chedly targeted by a new complaint for defamation

The lawyer Wafa Chedly, who multiplies the statutes on Facebook to spread what she describes as revelations, almost all denied by those concerned, is once again the subject of a new complaint for defamation, false accusations and broadcasts of fake news, via social media…

After Wadii Al-JAri, president of the FTF who got the ball rolling, then Samir Dilou (former Ennahdha), the UGTT, Lotfi Mraihi (UPR), the lawyer Ahmed Souab and the Ben Gharbia family, or even more recently the Association of Tunisian magistrates (AMT) it is the turn of Ghazi Chaouchi (Attayar) to announce that he has taken legal action, against his colleague, for the same facts.

Indeed, in a post published on his Facebook page, Ghazi Chaouachi claimed to have filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor of Tunis against “the unofficial spokesperson for the Minister of Chapter 23” (include the Minister of Justice).

The former MP said he is suing Wafa Chedly for defamation, false accusations and false news “broadcast to serve his bosses and the system that assigned him this dirty mission”, in reference to the power in place, for which the lawyer does not hide her support
