Two batches of Saint-Nectaire cheeses have just been recalled. These would be carriers of the Listeria bacteria and should no longer be consumed.
Notice to all cheese lovers ! If at the time of shopping there is no shortage of cheese references, one of them should not be consumed at this time. This Friday, November 4, a Saint-Nectaire has just been recalled due to Listeria.
Which products are affected?
The recall concerns two batches of farmhouse Saint-Nectaire of the mark the emperor. These products were marketed between 25/10/2022 and 31/10/2022 everywhere in France. The reason for their recall: Presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
The affected products are:
- Lot AAL 39-4, Date of minimum durability 09/12/2022
- Lot 22270111-4, Date of minimum durability 09/12/2022
The recall also specifies the health mark of the product: FR 15 141 001 CE.
What if you have it at home?
For people who have consumed one of these batches and who present symptoms following: fever, headache and body achesthe distributor recommends “consult their doctor by notifying him of this consumption”. Listeriosis is a disease that can have an incubation period of up to eight weeks and lead to neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women.
If you have any of these products at home, the Conso Reminder website (the government site which lists all the recalls of finished products intended for consumers) advises to do not consume the productto destroy the products, and to bring it back to the storeat the nearest point of sale, in order to proceed with a refund.
