You may have already eaten a pasta dish or had a coffee there if you studied in Toulouse before the end of the 1990s: the university canteen Daniel Faucher, on the island of Ramier, will soon have a new destiny. The building was bought by the TFC which wants to make it its performance center.
The first “Resto U” in Toulouse
The building, which adjoins the TFC training grounds, was inaugurated in 1959. It housed the first university restaurant in the city of Toulouse. A building of more than 2000 m2 now disused and heavily tagged. It was abandoned in the late 1990s, then permanently closed in 2001.
A new life with the TFC
The sale of this building, which belongs to CROUS, was made via a call for tenders. The procedure won by TFC will allow both parties to finalize the deed of sale by the end of 2022.
After major renovations, the former Daniel Faucher university restaurant will house the new Performance Center for the professional team. The opening is scheduled for 2025.
