Many questions and still too few answers. This Thursday evening, a few hours after Lucas L. confessed to having killed and buried Justine’s body in Beynat in Corrèze, the young man was indicted for murder, kidnapping and rape. After his confession, the body of his victim was found not far from his home.

“He must react”

On the antenna of BFMTV, his lawyer, Me Michel Labrousse, succinctly recalls that “the facts are against the background of leaving the discotheque, we know, alcohol, and then a drama.”

“He has to react, he has to perceive what happened and all that will require a long work for what concerns him”, he assures.

Regarding the rest of this thorny issue, the lawyer expects an instruction “which will be long, which will be difficult.”

“The public prosecutor has given us some information that he can give you but to which I cannot comment. There will be a serious investigation, magistrates, professionals who will look into this file. One thing that is certain is that what will be said in this instruction will remain secret, which will prevent erroneous information from being spread in the press”, he warned.

“Punch”

Also at the end of the day, the public prosecutor of Limoges, Baptiste Porcher, detailed the course of the evening according to the main suspect.

“A few hours before the end of his police custody, he admitted to having killed his victim at his home”, that is to say the family farm, he underlined before noting that the suspect had indeed mentioned a sexual relationship but spoke of a “consensual” relationship.

Lucas L. then said he delivered “a punch” to the 20-year-old mother, a blow that would have “caused her death”, according to her account. He also claimed to have loaded the body into his vehicle before using an “agricultural machine to dig the ground and bury the victim”.
