Amber Heard’s lawyers are calling for the cancellation of the defamation lawsuit against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. According to them, one of the seven jurors was never contacted by the court to participate in the trial.
The American media Deadline claims that this man would have taken the place of the real juror, a member of his family, who bears the same name as him.
“It is particularly troubling that someone not assigned to a jury is showing up anyway,” writes Amber Heard’s legal team in a document obtained by Deadline.
Request for cancellation of the $10 million in damages
Already, the lawyers of Amber Heard demanded this month the annulment of the verdict of her trial against Johnny Depp. According to them, the conclusions of the judges are not sufficiently substantiated.

In a 43-page document, the advice of the actress also demands the cancellation of the 10 million dollars in damages that she must pay to her ex-husband.
At the end of six weeks of debates, the seven jurors of the court of Fairfax, in the United States, had concluded on June 1 that the ex-spouses had defamed each other through the press. But they granted more than 10 million dollars to the star of “Pirates of the Caribbean”, against only 2 million for that of “Aquaman”.
