Police fall on more than 14,000 euros… in the cat litter

Cat then! Police officers conducting a search in Nogent-sur-Oise were surprised to discover just over 14,500 euros, hidden in the cat’s litter. The Parisian reports this story this Sunday, specifying that the sum “in large denominations”, was placed “in a small box, placed in the living room, intended for the feline”.

The police found “just over 370 g of cannabis, in the form of resin and grass, distributed in sachets and scattered” in the home of a woman in her fifties. The latter had almost 2,500 euros on her when she was taken to the police station.

She received a nine-month suspended prison sentence for transporting, possessing, offering, selling, acquiring or using illegal narcotics, and the money seized. The cat was cleared.
