The plane finally landed in a field, after several hours of worry.

The pilot of a small plane that threatened to intentionally crash into a Walmart in Mississippi landed uninjured, Governor Tate Reeves said Saturday. Earlier, the Tupelo, Mississippi Police Department said they spoke directly to the pilot and evacuated the Walmart and a gas station.

We are grateful that the situation was resolved and no one was injured. said Mr. Reeves on Twitter. The pilot circled for hours before heading north, landing the plane in County Tippah, just outside Benton, authorities said.
