over $400,000 worth of methamphetamine found in pumpkins

Customs officers made the discovery on Tuesday at the Mexico-US border on the Texas side.

It is a strange discovery that American customs officers made on Tuesday in Texas, on the border between the United States and Mexico. In a car coming from Mexico, a 2012 Ford Escape, customs officers found more than $400,000 worth of methamphetamine, hidden in Halloween decorations, which appeared suspicious.

Almost 20 kg of drugs

A total of 19.84 kilos of drugs were seized. The methamphetamine was hidden in 136 condoms, themselves concealed in four pumpkins.

The drugs were seized by customs officers, as well as the vehicle. The driver and his passenger were arrested by the police.

A few days earlier, on October 2, about fifteen kilos of methamphetamine, for a value of around 328,000 dollars, had been seized at the same place.
