Looking for a good Parisian address to enjoy excellent tapas and share a friendly moment with friends? We have what you need ! Head to the Comptoir des Fables in rue Saint-Dominique (7th) to feast in good company, while sipping delicious cocktails.
the Counter of Fableswelcomes you to the heart of the dynamic rue Saint-Dominique which crosses the 7th district of Paris from the Champ-de-Mars to the Esplanade des Invalides. The restaurant, which combines both a tapas bar and a cocktail bar, welcomes you all year round in one of its 2 dining rooms or on the terrace. True to its motto, “Happiness is only real when shared“, the Counter of Fables wants to be a sharing table to pass a convivial moment with the people we love.
Here, the watchword is sharing! The idea is to choose from among the thirty or so tapas proposed and to peck in each dish with his friends! In addition, everything is so tempting that we make it a point to taste EVERYTHING! We fall for the Green zucchini accras that melt in the mouth. This dish, spiced up with a “Dog sauce”a sauce from the West Indies and Guyana, close to South American chimichurri and Argentinian salsa criolla, brings an explosion of flavors that convinced the whole table.
Green zucchini accras / Frog legs, smoked bacon / Sea bass crudo:
For a note of freshness, we opt for Guacamole from the counterperfectly seasoned, to mash yourself with a pestle or for the sea bass crudo seasoned with a Kalamansi dressinga small exotic fruit native to Southeast Asia rich in vitamin C, and garnished with clementines.
You can also find as an accompaniment sautéed vegetables, baby potatoes, smoked mashed potatoes with hay or roasted ceps, which vary with the seasons. Each dish is served in a portion to share as tapas, kemias, zakouski or even mezzes, as they are called in different parts of the world.
the counter of fables also offers a meat suggestion (which varies regularly in the daily suggestions) served on a barbecue chest lit when serving to give a light smoky taste to the dish. On the day of our test, we were able to taste the Duckling on barbecue chest accompanied by a creamy polenta decorated with roasted figs! A dish that is both tasty and balanced to discover without delay.

Note that the restaurant also offers a selection of vegetarian tapas such asaubergine chermoulamarinade or North African sauce which is most often used to accompany fish, accompanied by almond bulgur, candied lemon,Kadaïf egg, kinds of fine Turkish noodles, with spinach and parmesan and Pimientos de Padróna variety of peppers from the municipality of Padrón, in the northwest of Spain, with fleur de sel.
And if you have the soul of one sweet beakknow that the corner of Sweets is no exception! We discover on the menu the Tonka puff pastry with pralines and crispy peanuts, the refreshing Chocolate cream black sesame sorbet and candied Kumquat or the Orange and grapefruit pavlova served with a Yuzu sorbet… In short, fresh and light desserts that make your mouth water just by reading their title!

In addition, the establishment is equipped with the ingenious Coravin glass service system which keeps the wine at the right temperature by placing the bottle under nitrogen so as not to lose its organoleptic qualities and aromas.
