LausanneThe best homemade ice cream is with lemon peel flavor

Nearly 400 people tasted and then rated the ice creams of ten Lausanne ice cream makers this summer. Their verdict fell on Thursday. And it was Labo Gelateria, with its lemon peel flavour, which won the competition organized by Lausanne à Table.

The ice creams were a great success during this scorching summer.

The association, which promotes taste in all its forms in the Lausanne region, brought together a jury of 400 people for a competition aimed at crowning the best artisanal ice cream in the Olympic city. After two months of tasting in ten places, the verdict fell this Thursday at the Historical Museum of Lausanne.

The Golden Ice Cream has been awarded to Labo Gelateria for its lemon peel flavor. Bongusto Italiano with its Pistachio flavor (Silver ice cream) and Gea Gelateria Artigianale with its Basil flavor (Bronze ice cream) also won over gourmets.
