Patrick Lepeltier, owner of the hotel-restaurant L’agriculture in Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët (Manche), is retiring this Friday, October 21, 2022.

Manager since 1988

“I’m going to enjoy life because I gave a lot of my time to work,” says the future retiree.

Since 1988, Patrick Lepeltier has managed the Agriculture hotel restaurant. This Friday, October 21, 2022, he retires and leaves his place to his successors Patrice Bodenan, 49, and Fabien Laperruque, 33. “I am very happy to pass the baton to Patrice Bodenan and Fabien Laperruque, they will ensure the continuity of the establishment’s life”.

Smooth passage

Patrice Bodenan and Fabien Laperruque were followed by Patrick for a smooth transition. A thoughtful project that started a year and a half ago. “We were looking for a business that had a good follow-up. What is really reassuring and striking is the support with Mr. Lepeltier. We were surrounded by good, benevolent people who make it possible to start a little more calmly even if it is difficult, we are already overwhelmed with the steps, ”explains Patrice Bodenan.

The couple who will open their doors on Monday October 24, 2022 at 7 p.m. are preparing for the home stretch. “The challenge is not easy for all that because there is the experience of Patrick Lepeltier who is known. New blood can do good. We are there to be accepted by the clientele, to be recognized for what we do. We have ambitions, we’re not going to revolutionize everything overnight, that’s not the goal. We already want to perpetuate what already exists and we will gradually develop something else, ”they specify.

They are preparing the Saint-Martin fair

The managers want to let the mystery hang over future dishes. “We want to offer different things. We will rely on a known cuisine with an experienced chef,” says Patrice, the new manager. Especially Fabien and Patrice are currently preparing the major event of the city: the Saint-Martin fair. “We want to offer hearty, family dishes: homemade tripe.”

Fabien Laperruque and Patrice Bodenan will be accompanied by 4 employees. “It’s a revamped team aged between 17 and 56,” says Patrice Bodenan.
