Hanami Tea Time: the flowery tea room dedicated to fluffy pancakes in Paris

Would you like a picnic under a cherry blossom tree? Direction Hanami Tea Time. Nestled in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, this tea room offers us a tasty gourmet break in an ultra flowery decor. On the menu ? The essential fluffy pancakes, accompanied by different beverages.

Notice to lovers of fluffy pancakes ! Paris has a new address that is truly worth the detour. With its ultra neat decor with a floral theme, Hanami Tea Time stands out as the new quirky tea room from the center of the capital.

The trip operates from the outside where we can observe from the sidewalk Jimmy – at the initiative of the project – making before our eyes the famous fluffy pancakes. And the immersion continues inside. Our eyes are immediately drawn to the torii, the traditional Japanese gate, and then to a magnificent reproduction of a cherry blossom tree made by the artist Sylvain Bert. The most observant can also be amused to look for the artist’s signature hidden somewhere on the work.

And the wonder continues with flowers hanging all over the tea room. The highlight of the show? The long corridor enhanced by hanging wisteria and a huge fresco created again by Sylvain Berst. And the artist is not done with it Hanami Tea Time, since he plans to unveil another work at the very back of the establishment; a fresco that will change with the seasons.

With its ultra neat and Instagrammable decor, Hanami Tea Time In just a few seconds, we plunge into the land of the Rising Sun, with this furious desire to land and take our time. This is precisely what we are going to do while savoring THE specialty of the place: the fluffy pancakes.

For the less connoisseurs, we remind you that the fluffy pancakes are these puffed pancakes, originating in Japan. At the same time thick, soft and ultra light, we add a few toppings, such as chocolate, caramel, pandan… anything is possible!

To begin, Hanami Tea Time bets on a short card with only three proposals. But three recipes that Jimmy masters to perfection. heart for the Fluffyculoos caramel (speculoos, whipped cream, homemade salted butter caramel). We also really liked the Fluffy Forest Red (chantilly cream, red fruit coulis, raspberries, blueberries). For cocoa addicts, opt for the chocolate one with whipped cream and chocolate coulis.

To accompany these fluffy pancakes, Hanami Tea Time suggests some cold drinks, like the excellent and delicate Pink Blossom (whole milk, rose, violet). Another house signature? The very refreshing sakura lychee (sparkling water, cherry blossoms, whole lychee).

For matcha lovers, fall for the matcha vanilla (whole milk, vanilla matcha) or matcha pink. Also find a passion flavored cold tea or a red fruit cold tea.

Over the weeks and months to come, Hanami Tea Time will expand its range with more fluffy pancakes, including one with matcha, and some savory recipes too. As for beverages, hot drinks will soon be offered on the menu. The icing on the cake, the tea room will reveal in the basement another part dedicated this time to the brunch. Behind this new establishment, we find the very friendly Léa and Jimmy. After a trip to Japan, during the sakura blossom season, the couple had the click: bring this breath of fresh air to Paris. Their idea? Open a warm and comforting place, inviting to travel and the desire to take your time, by honoring the fluffy pancakes. Since October 22, 2022, it has therefore been done. Hanami Tea Time welcomes you for a moment of sweetness and indulgence from Tuesday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Immersion guaranteed and successful!
