Within the palace located in Ouchy, “gourmets are pampered with no less than five restaurants totaling 72 GaultMillau points”, wrote the gastronomic guide in a press release on Monday. The hotel notably houses the restaurant of one of the stars of French gastronomy, Anne-Sophie Pic.

The GaultMillau jury is also enthusiastic about the hotel’s four-hectare park, “of breathtaking beauty.” He also remarks that the 161-year-old palace has taken “an important step” with the transformation of its historic wing.

From 600 to… 15,000 francs per night

This work was directed by the Parisian architect Pierre-Yves Rochon, who designed “with great skill and an innate sense of color the 63 rooms and seven suites arranged around an impressive interior courtyard”, continues the press release.

Each room is individually designed. Prices start at 600 francs and go up to 15,000 francs per night for the main suites.

The Beau-Rivage succeeds the winners of the Hotel Castello del Sole located in Ascona (TI). For 20 years, only two hotels in French-speaking Switzerland have been crowned, already the Beau-Rivage (2007) and another five-star hotel in the Vaud capital, the Lausanne Palace (2012).
