The Red Guide awards a first badge to Atelier Robuchon and Micheline.
Owl! Geneva has just won two new Michelin stars. The Red Guide presented this Monday the new elected members of its Swiss edition 2023, during a well-dressed ceremony at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. The Atelier Robuchon, nestled in the brand new Woodward palace on the Quai Wilson, and La Micheline, located at the Gare des Eaux-Vives, have won their first macaron. Their respective chefs, Olivier Jean and Andrés Arocena, are among the 29 cooks and one cook who recently received stars under our Swiss skies.
Only one establishment has joined the club of three Swiss stars, which now has four members. This is Sven Wassmer’s Memories in the canton of St. Gallen. Five confederal restaurants, including none in Romandie, won a second macaron.
What about Bibs?
In addition to the stars – shooting on occasion – the guide also distributes “Gourmet Bibs”, which indicate houses with good value for money. Five new Geneva addresses have been awarded the said distinction. These are Bistrot Dumas, L’Agape, Café de la Plage, Natürlich and Osteria della Bottega. For the rest, no storm warning at the tip of the lake. The stars – Châteauvieux, Chat Botté, Flacon, Aparté, Tosca, Il Lago, Bayview, Cigalon, Chaumière and Tsé Fung – all keep their medals.
