Eleven dogs dispatched to try to find Bernard Chaussoy in Desvres

This Sunday, in the Desvrois, the search continues to try to find the former mayor of Rinxent, Bernard Chaussoy. The latter has not given any sign of life since Friday morning. Ten dogs from the departmental fire and rescue service and another from the gendarmerie were dispatched.

In the Desvrois, this Sunday morning, the search to find Bernard Chaussoy resumed. No volunteers today, but eleven dogs in search of the former mayor of Rinxent, missing since Friday morning.

A dog that specializes in tracking people

Ten of the dogs are from the SDIS (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service). To them is added a Saint Hubert, a dog trained by the gendarmerie, who came specially from Caen. This breed of dog specializes in tracking people.

As a reminder, Bernard Chaussoy, 81, went Friday, around 9 a.m., to the Desvres forest, for a mushroom picking with his wife. The two spouses had agreed to meet near their vehicle, around 11:30 a.m., but the former mayor never returned.
