How are you organized in Marseille?
Our office has two lawyersPartners: Edouard Vichard, specialist in taxation and business transfer, and Eric de Fenoyl, national manager of the public business law department. I took the oath in Marseille in 2005 and joined Deloitte Société d’Avocats in 2018 after several years with PwC Société d’Avocats as a tax lawyer. I was just named managing directorand as such, I support large multinational groups and SMEs on their French and cross-border transactions both in terms of M&A tax due diligence and tax structuring.
Precisely, what are the specialties of the Marseille office of Deloitte Société d’Avocats?
Our office specializes in advising SMEs, ETIs and large companies in the Paca region. We are particularly experts in tax and legal business strategies for companies, both in a Franco-French and international context, with the support and strength of our global network present in 150 countries. We also advise our clients on the taxation of innovation, in the context, for example, of the research tax credit scheme. For this last activity, focused on research and development (R&D), we support the engineers present within our team which is rare enough to be underlined. We also advise our clients on personal taxation: particularly on the transfer of family businesses (Dutreil Pact scheme) or tax declarations (income tax, IFI). We also offer our expertise in asset structuring (involving in particular real estate, SCI, dismemberment of property, etc.) We assist or defend our clients vis-à-vis the administration within the framework of the procedures of tax audits or litigation. In corporate law, we mainly intervene in the context of “M&A” transactions, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, due diligence and contracts, in all sectors of activity, including the wine sector. Finally, we offer social law by advising employers and supporting them during industrial tribunal disputes. Our international dimension is reflected in all of our activities.
Finally, the national expertise of Deloitte Société d’Avocats is located in Marseillein public business law, under the responsibility of Eric de Fenoyl. This involves supporting local authorities and operators in public contracts and advising on the financing of public facilities, particularly in certain sectors such as energy, sport, culture and education. Also, our team has extensive experience in complex public contracts (particularly PPP) and real estate transactions. It operates throughout the national territory.
