Del Mar (USA): the most beautiful Avenue de France

The resident of Léonard Powell, Avenue de France (Cityscape), who remained on a second place in a Gr.2 contested in the form of handicap, wins the best race of her career in the John C. Mabee Stakes (Gr.2) . Ridden by Juan Hernandes, the leading jockey at Del Mar, who took advantage of a slowdown in the opposite line to take the lead, Avenue de France showed courage to repel the attack of the favorite Going Global (Mehmas ), ridden by Umberto Rispoli. Flavien Prat in the saddle on the Gr.1 winner Going To Vegas (Goldencents) has to settle for third place. Bred by Jedburgh Stud and Thierry De La Heronniere, Avenue de France won her first two outings in France before being acquired for €95,000 at the 2019 Arc sale by Mandore International Agency.
