HAS Seas-les-Bainsin the Sum, the Assist’O’Chats association is organizing until today Sunday, October 30, 2022 a toy fair at the Salle des Mailleuls, near the fire station.
Founded four years ago, the association has three main actions: the protection of cats through their identification; the limitation of their proliferation thanks to the sterilization and she also makes every effort to get the kittens from the street thanks to theadoption. It operates in the sector of 70 municipalities.
Within the toy market, kittens are also waiting to be adopted. “Two were yesterday Saturday,” say the volunteers. “There are still 7 left today. We are also going to offer cats for adoption in Cayeux sur Mer, on Tuesday November 1 and Sunday November 6”. An ID and a transport cage are required, as well as adoption fees.
Support is requested
The association still has to deal with the proliferation of cats. “As soon as people feed a stray cat, they should contact the association to report it and avoid the proliferation of litters. There is a lack of awareness among municipalities and residents about sterilization to prevent proliferation”.
In the meantime, the mistigris are waiting for a new home… but the association is struggling to finance all the costs. “We are feeling the effects of the current crisis on donations, which are an important source of our funding. Flea markets and toy fairs work well, however. People are made aware of the theme of second hand. We have added flea markets and toy fair organizations at the end of the year”.
The association is also looking for volunteers to help organize events and calls on individuals to donate items for flea markets.
See you now from 31 october to 6 November in Cayeux-sur-Mer, for a flea market of the Assist’O’Chats association, in the village hall. Monday, from 3 a.m. to 5 p.m. h and from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 h 30 to 17 h. Tuesday 1 and Sunday 6 november, 10 adoption cat show a.m. to 4 p.m. h.
