Two Uber Eats deliverers, aged 18 and 19, were arrested overnight from Thursday to Friday in Vélizy (Yvelines) after stabbing a customer at a McDonald’s restaurant. Around 11:20 p.m. on Avenue de l’Europe, in front of the “drive” order terminal, a banal dispute broke out between the occupants of a vehicle and two Uber Eats delivery men on two wheels.
The two young couriers approach the passenger and punch him through the open window. The victim gets out of the vehicle, a fight breaks out and one of the opponents stabs him several times in the chest, arms and buttocks. The two attackers get on their scooters and flee. The injured, aged 26, was taken to the Percy hospital in Clamart (Hauts-de-Seine) without his vital prognosis being engaged.
Questioned by the BAC
A few minutes later, the attackers reappear to recover a phone, lost during the fight. Several members of the victim’s family attack them. They escape before being found and arrested by the anti-crime brigade (BAC) of Versailles, in the neighboring commercial area.
Both men were taken into police custody for attempted murder. They will have to explain themselves to the investigators during the day. The murder weapon has not been found. Forensic technicians noted the traces and clues at the scene and the three other occupants of the victim’s car were interviewed.
