$15 a beer: Coyotes charge top dollar at concessions

The Arizona Coyotes may evolve temporarily in a 5,000-seat amphitheater, until proven otherwise, they are still playing in the big leagues.

The expenses aren’t as big as they used to be, but it still takes quite a bit of bidou to pay the players and run the machine.

With a crowd as modest as that of the Mullett Arena, you have to be creative to replenish the coffers.

After asking top dollar for season tickets (up to $14,350 a seat!), the Western organization decided to go big on food and refreshments.

Of the bomber jackets at $15

On Friday, the journalist Greg Wyshynski was there for the Coyotes’ first home game. He took some pictures of the menus at the concessions.

Some examples :

– Domestic beer: $14 (add $1 for a premium)
– Bottle of water: $5
– Salad with a few pieces of chicken: $12
– “Inferno” hot dog (it comes with a packet of stuff in it): $8.50

Over there, the beers, they call them “bombers”. I prefer our little frets.

On the menu, the least expensive pizza is offered at $12 a unit. I hope it’s not just for a tip.

When Pierre LeBrun asked his colleague what he had eaten, the latter replied “This pizza, earlier in the day. No regrets. »

The people present still seemed to have had a great evening, with their Longueuil style wigs on their heads. The Coyotes lost to the Jets, but the game was decided in overtime (3-2).

All that attention will eventually fade. In the meantime, on Sunday, the Rangers will come to visit the circus.
